Corporate Catering FAQ’s

  • How do I select a corporate caterer for my event?
Corporate catering takes place all over the UK in all kinds of forms. Whether it a lunch finger buffet or a formal sit down for 500 guests, ensure that the corporate caterers you meet with have the right experience and can offer references. Using the net to find local suppliers may be more cost effective and keeping a budget in mind will help to narrow the list of potential corporate caterers.
  • Can I get references?
All good Corporate catering will have a list of corporate clients that will give references. These should be clients to whom they have provided corporate catering services. It is highly recommended that references are checked.
  • How long before the event should I confirm a corporate caterer?
As early as possible is the answer to this question. As soon as a date is confirmed, venue and caterer should be the next priorities on the list. Frankly, the earlier the better. Reputable corporate caterers in the UK will get booked up early due to high demand at certain times of the year. If left too late, the first choice of corporate caterer may not be available.
  • Should I get a written proposal?
It is advisable to get a quote in writing from each corporate caterer you have enquired with so that like for like comparisons can be made. Also, it saves any confusion. Both client and corporate caterer know exactly what will be provided and at what cost.
  • Will there be a contract in place?
Experienced and reputable corporate catering companies will always have a contract ready for you at the time of booking. Every detail should be in black and white so the client is clear on the catering services that are to be provided in the package price. The contract may also include payment terms and conditions. These, along with a note of any cancellation charges should be noted and agreed by both parties.
  • Is a face-to-face meeting recommended with a corporate caterer?
Although the initial enquiry and research stages can be done via phone and/or email, prior to confirming a booking, a meeting is essential. Building a rapport with the corporate caterer and establishing trust is extremely important. A visit to the caterers’ office or site is recommended also.
  • What kind of corporate catering services are available in the UK?
Anything from a tray of sandwiches right through to a formal sit down reception can be organised by corporate caterers. Specialist corporate caterers are available to deal with all types of catering requirement.
