Seating
Traditionally, the top table at a wedding is a straight table that faces all the guests. As a general rule close relations and friends of the family are seated nearest the top table. Today many reception parties are more informal, a round table can be placed in the centre or at the head of the room so that the bride and groom can mingle with their guests. A seating plan is not essential but can be useful. Obtain a table plan to assist you with the seating arrangements and remember to give a few copies of your seating plan to your event organiser.
