Speeches

The Toastmaster is usually responsible for introducing the speeches. It is traditional for the father of the bride to start by thanking guests for attending, welcoming the groom and his family and proposing a toast to the couple. The Groom will then speak, thanking the brides family for hosting the function and raising a toast to his new wife. Lastly the Best Man will speak, this is usually an informal speech about the bride and groom and ends with a toast to the union.
